You guys! It's almost Christmas time and one thing I LOVE to give out as gifts are easy to make Oily DIY's. I recently made Bath Bombs and y'all... they are awesome and so easy!
Bath Bomb Base: 🛁 1 C baking soda 🛁 1/2 C citric acid 🛁 1/2 C corn starch 🛁 1/2 C epsom salt (unscented) 🛁 2 TBLS fractionated coconut oil 🛁 1 TBLS water 🛁 20-50 drops Essential Oils of your choice
I made an uplifting version called "Merry & Bright" (cute right 😂) - 20 drops Peppermint - 15 drops Citrus Fresh - 15 drops Lemon
I also made a relaxing version called "Silent Night" (again... cute right?! 😂) - 10 drops Lavender - 10 drops Cedarwood - 5 drops Stress Away
Mix all dry ingredients in a glass or stainless steel bowl.
In a small bowl or measuring cup, mix the fractionated coconut oil, water and your choice of oils. Stir.
Slowly (and I mean slowly) add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients WHILE stirring constantly to mix together. You should get a wet sand consistency. With this exact recipe, I didn't need to add any additional liquid. But if yours is too dry, you can add a tiny bit at a time. ** You'll know you have the right consistency when you can pack it into a ball in your hand and it sticks together and doesn't just crumble. 😉**
Using your molds, one in each hand, scoop the mixture in each side bringing them together. Press them firmly together all the way. (Set to the side and fill up the rest of the molds you want to use.) Then gently open one side of the mold and roll the bath bomb out onto parchment paper.
(Repeat until finished)
Let completely dry and harden for 24 hours.
And there you have it!! 🤗
💣 I bought the bath bomb molds on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/…/B07…/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00…
🛍 And I got the cute little bags on amazon too, perfect for gift giving: https://www.amazon.com/…/B07…/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00…
PLEASE give them a try and let me know what you think or what oils you used! Most of all HAVE FUN!!
