DIY Perfume

Updated: Oct 8, 2019

Did you know that more than 95% of the chemicals in Synthetic Fragrances are derived from petrochemicals (those nasty toxins that are capable of causing cancer, birth defects, nervous-system disorders and allergies)!!🤢

And those chemicals are all hiding behind one word -FRAGRANCE-.

Companies are allowed to do this by claiming it as a “trade secret” and don’t have to reveal what those ingredients are. 😠

THAT is why I started throwing out all of my beloved candles, air fresheners and perfumes. Because I CAN make better choices for myself and my family.

Now I love experimenting with different essential oils to create the perfect “good for me” fragrance. And I am obsessed with my latest one.

✨ Using an atomizer perfume bottle ✨ 25 drops Gathering essential oil

✨ 10 drops Northern Lights Black Spruce ✨ 5 drops Grapefruit essential oil ✨ 1 pump fractionated coconut oil (or about 10 drops) ✨ Fill 3/4 of bottle with 90+ proof alcohol (I used Everclear bc it’s a grain alcohol) ✨ Top off with distilled water ✨ Shake before each use And isn’t this perfume bottle from @hollylaurenessentials just darling?!!😍
