DIY Dry Shampoo

Chances are, if you’re a mom, a student, a WOMAN; you’ve used Dry Shampoo. I wash my hair about every 4-5 days so I am no stranger to it. I love whipping up a batch of this super easy DIY Dry Shampoo because it lasts forever, its WAY cheaper, and it has ingredients that are actually good for me and my long locks!

In a medium bowl, mix together:

1 Tbls Baking Soda1/4 C Arrowroot powder (or cornstarch)5 drops Lavender essential oil5 drops Rosemary essential oil3 drops Cedarwood essential oil2 drops Peppermint essential oil

*For Redheads or light Brunettes, add

1 Tbls Cocoa powder

*For Dark Brunettes/Black, add

3-5 Tbls Cocoa powder

I like to keep mine in a salt shaker so I can sprinkle on my roots.

Add Cocoa powder for darker hair.

🌱Cedarwood is great for scalp health (no one likes dandruff)

🌱Lavender is soothing and softens your hair

🌱Rosemary stimulates blood circulation to say “hey brain… more healthy hair here please!”

🌱Peppermint is soothing to the scalp and also helps stimulate

Pro Tip: apply dry shampoo after you wash and blow dry your hair for preventative measures. This will absorb the oil as it builds up. Then you can add a few sprinkles each morning or as needed.
