16 Ways to Use Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint essential oil comes in Young Living's Premium Starter Kit. And if it isn't one of your favorite oils yet, check out this list below for some easy and oh so useful ways to use this amazing oil.

  1. Add 2 drops to your favorite brownie mix.

  2. Add several drops to some chocolate and coconut oil to make peppermint bark.

  3. Add 1 drop to water to keep you from overeating.

  4. Add a couple drops to your mop bucket- it puts a pep in my step and actually makes me want to clean!

  5. Place one drop in your mouth to freshen breath!

  6. Drop under tongue to increase alertness.

  7. Place a drop on your thumb and press it to the roof of your mouth for stuffy sinus relief or head tension relief.

  8. Deeply inhale from the bottle when head and neck tension are present.

  9. Rub up and down spine to help reduce a fever.

  10. Inhale from bottle to settle an upset tummy or add 1-2 drops to a glass of water and drink.

  11. Add 1-2 drops to water and drink ½ hour before yard work or exercise for stamina.

  12. Add to diffuser with a couple of ice cubes to help cool down a room!

  13. Add about 50 drops to distilled water in a 16 ounce spray bottle for a mouse/ant repellent.

  14. Add one drop to coffee with creamer.

  15. Put a few drops in a 2 oz spray bottle and top off with water; spritz on legs, back of neck and inner arms when in the hot weather to keep from overheating.

  16. Put a drop on a cotton ball in your linen closet (or any closet) to keep it smelling fresh!
